Twice a year The Dignity Drive collects socks and underwear for Grande Prairie's homeless population. For the last 3 years, I have created their posters, billboards, social media posts, and a website.
The first year I took on this project, I created a "brand" for the drive. It needed to showcase Rotary's involvement and be eye-catching. The posters are used to promote the drive, but they are also used to mark their donation bins; For this reason, they needed to be something that could become instantly recognizable in the hectic environment of large retailers. This also translated well to grabbing attention on social media. The bubbles and wavy shapes are used to add visual interest and some fun to something that would otherwise be a hard topic to broach. The clothesline that is occasionally featured is a holdover from their old marketing, which I believed was a great way to quickly show off what exactly the drive was collecting. This is one of my favourite projects and I am honoured I get to be involved with this every year.
